Tech Team Action Heroes
25/08/2015
Dressed for combat with masks and camouflage the technical team at NCI were joined by customer David Smit of Bedruthan Steps Hotel, on Saturday to embark on a day of action, military strategy and team survival.
The courageous group gathered at Action Paintball on The Lizard, and split into two teams. Some members, brimming with bravado were on a mission to eliminate their opponents and tagged them successfully for a while but in the thrill of the fight couldn’t rise to the challenge of their rivals.
There were two indoor games and the teams successfully utilised the shadows of an old building to pounce on unsuspecting challengers but the close combat meant the volume of paintball jabs were starting to sting and the game resulted in no winners.
However, the outdoor games were a different story. The 'Rebel Yell' was heard for miles around as teams let off some serious steam and charged through woodland and wild terrain, ducking behind oil drums, and diving into trenches to avoid the onslaught of enemy fire.
Fearlessly taking arms and pelting the Red team with glorious colour, were the Blues. Winning all 3 out of 3 outdoor games the Blue Team, comprising NCI Director; Chris Penrose, Technical Manager; Jerry, and Ben H, Luke and Paul can still be heard chanting their battle cry and glorious triumph – nice one guys!
Well Done! also to the Red’s, who despite ‘taking several for the team’, stood strong against attack, gave a good game and fought to the bitter end.
All-in-all a thrilling and exhilarating day was had by the teams!

Having taken on the new role of headteacher I have found NCI Technologies support to be invaluable. Not only did they carry out an audit of our current IT provision, they gave practical advice on how we can make the provision better for our pupils. Speeding up the WiFi, cutting back on unnecessary spending and providing us with tech support are just some of the ways that they have changed our practice. We now have revamped teaching tools for teachers, up-to-date (and working!) equipment for pupils, training opportunities for staff and a speedier office.
