Winner! Global Award for Innovation and Transformation

Scooping the global 'Canalys award for Innovation and Transformation' was an incredible achievement since NCI were up against 900 industry leaders across the EMEA.

The three day conference in Cannes, France is the world's largest independent channel partner event bringing together industry leaders and inspirational speakers, and awarding success in IT.  Projects were judged by Senior Analysts from Canalys; the industry-leading continuous advisory service for channel professionals in all technology industries, including IT, networking, security, unified communications and consumer electronics.

The NCI 'NAO' project was announced as not only innovative but was demonstrated on stage to a rapturous applause. 

The cute robot 'NAO', pronounced 'now', stands just 58cm tall and displays human behaviours, boasting voice and face recognition, talking and walking, singing and dancing and powerfully engaging children in learning.  The transformational opportunities lie in the robots ability to be programmed very simply and animated by students of any age and ability. 

NAO can be used in schools to combine science with creativity, supporting teaching across the whole curriculum, and especially within computing and science. 

Robotics is heralded as being the next technological revolution following the internet and is already embraced as part of the new school curriculum.
