Security issue alert on Dell PC's or laptops

An application called Dell Foundation Services was installed in order to easily identify the TAG code to Dell online support. In simple terms, this installed a certificate on the affected machines which has a potential security concern.
The impact is limited to customers who used the 'detect product' functionality on the Dell support site between October 20th and November 24th, 2015 so there is a very good possibility you won't be affected. The application was removed from the Dell Support site immediately it was discovered as an issue, and a replacement application without the certificate is now available.
Dell are proactively pushing a software update to address the issue that will hopefully be a part of a normal update cycle. In the meantime, we suggest you check your own machines to see if you are affected. Please use the tool linked below, which will fix the issue instantly. Re-infection is not possible.
