We're supporting 'Safer Internet Day' 9th Feb
03/02/2016
On Tuesday, February 9th, the world unites to raise awareness of staying safe on the net; with kindness and respect!
2016, is the 13th edition of the global event 'Safer Internet Day' created to promote safe use of internet technologies and mobile phones. Last year, over 100 countries worldwide, 28 in Europe, joined in the celebrations, with schools and businesses embracing activities on the day.
We will be celebrating too, and invite all our schools and businesses to join in.
This year, we have sent stickers and display material to our primary schools and have added these, plus, lesson plans, an assembly powerpoint and activity sheet to our 'Resources' page for you to download:
This website is for parents, teachers and any member of the wider community who is looking for advice on internet safety matters, whether to protect and educate a child via guidance on how to set parental controls on your devices to videos on cyberbullying and links to 'report abuse' plus, advice for adults on staying safe too.
Let's join together in the call to action: 'Play your part for a better internet!'
Have fun and be safe!
