Macmillan Coffee Morning a Success!

On the 28^th September 2017 here at NCI we ran our annual Macmillan Cancer coffee morning, raising money for a great cause by sharing cake and coffee with friends!

Macmillan provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care. And because cancer affects more than just those facing it, Macmillan are there for friends and family too.

Our talented staff baked or donated some amazing cakes to help raise funds for this well deserving charity. Over all we managed to raise £80.72 from donations given by NCI staff and other businesses located here at Waterside House in Penryn.

Our Best Baker Award was again won the second year on the run by James Scott our IT Sales Consultant with his healthy but treat worthy dairy free chocolate beetroot cake! Our Marketing Graphic Designer Joanna was a close second with her chocolate rice crispy cakes (no talent was spared there!).

By the end of the day we were completely caked out but the extra calories were all worth it to raise such a good amount! Here’s to next year’s coffee morning let’s hope we can beat this year’s fundraising amount!
